New Website for the Oldest Inhabited House in Scotland

Just launched a new content-managed website for Traquair House in the Scottish Borders, not just an the oldest inhabited house in Scotland, but also one of the earliest adopters of the web, with their first website setup in 1996.

I was approached to redevelop the site (Drupal CMS) to give them more control over day-to-day admin of the site, particularly for their busy programme of events; but also for their bed and breakfast facilities, their options as a wedding venue, and for corporate hospitality.

The site maintains some design cues from their earlier site but adopts a more widescreen approach, using photography to showcase the house.

Whatever the next event coming up is highlighted on the homepage, plus latest news, a random selection of testimonials, and special offers.
