The Standards Commission is an independent public body which encourages high ethical standards in public life through the promotion and enforcement of Codes of Conduct for Councillors and those appointed to the Boards of devolved public bodies. I set up the original site in 2002, and the brief last year was to provide the Commission with an easy to update website that enabled site visitors easy access to case results.
Search and tagging of content was key to this project, so if you know the case number you want or the name of a Council or Councillor, the simple search will target this quickly. Site visitors wanting more specific results can use the advanced search facility to locate much more specific search criteria.
