Steve Douglas

Wired Nomad was established in March 1997 but founder Steve Douglas has been involved with website production since December 1994.

Prior to establishing his own company Steve developed websites for amongst others ScotRail, the Direct Marketing Association (a 1996 John Caples award winner in the US) and creative content for the Irn Bru site while working with the Silvermills Group (The Leith Agency and One-to-One Direct Marketing).

Before converting his life to the web Steve worked in advertising for 10 years (One to One Direct Marketing, Timberbush, Hall Advertising, and Rex Stewart in reverse order) on such clients as The Gleneagles Hotel, John Menzies, Clydesdale Bank, Martin Currie Unit Trusts, Bells Whisky, Clydesdale Retail, and Marks and Spencer Financial Services.

Steve was educated at the Edinburgh Academy and St. Andrews University, and is married with two daughters who he devotes most of the rest of his time to when not doing webby things. Actually, now they're teenagers, he's got a bit more free time apart from chauffering duties.

Steve is also Technical Advisor to the Whipman Play Committee; sound and lighting man for the West Linton drama club; and on the steering group of the Tweed Valley Tourist Consortium.
