What to do on summer holiday

A quick thought, Gordon Brown is taking a summer holiday in Southwold, Suffolk (I assume weather better in English resort than hometown Kirkcaldy, plus more English voters than Scottish who really don't want to know).

So  what does the town website offer the PM?

Well, there's 'The Tempest'. Wonder with Miranda at her 'brave new world', marvel with Prospero and laugh at the drunkards.

A rehearsed reading of a new screenplay. Mutiny! is a big budget movie, a tale of lust and greed, prejudice and intolerance, drunkenness and cruelty, madness and murder. Cabinet revolt?

Southwold Summer Theatre - Murder Mistaken - so no cabinet minsters involved, everything is unattributable.

Butterflies and Dragonflies at Minsmere - a view of the Prime Ministerial stomach before an address to the unions before the summer recess.

And finally, Pond Dipping and Crafts for All. An overview of the expectations of many Labour MPs after the next election.
